Questions we get asked
How do you charge — fixed price or hourly?
Fixed price for defined scope, and a monthly retainer for ongoing work. We quote after a scoping call rather than from a form, because a number produced without understanding your data model is a number one of us will regret.
What happens if the scope changes mid-project?
We re-quote the delta in writing before building it. Scope changes are normal; discovering them on the invoice is not.
Who owns the code?
You do, in full, from the first commit. Work happens in a repository you own, not one you are handed at the end. There is no license to renew and no lock-in.
What stack do you build on?
TypeScript throughout, Next.js for the application layer, Postgres for data, and serverless infrastructure by default. We use boring, well-supported tools so that hiring your own team later is straightforward.
Can you work with our existing codebase?
Yes. We start with a short audit so the first estimate is based on the code as it is rather than as it was described, and we tell you honestly if a rewrite is cheaper than a rescue.
How do we see progress?
Every client gets a portal with project status, milestone dates, deliverables and invoices. You do not have to ask for an update to get one.
